My dear Luba, thank you for your invitation to Kolman Turiy Memorial. Unfortunately I could not participate in it. We were friends with Kolman and it is so hard to beleive that he is not with us anymore, with his great sense of humor, with his sharp mind, with his friendly smile and with his love to draughts. He was spirit of our Federation and I don't see how it can survive without Kolman. He was great farther, great husband, great friend, great player, great composer. and he was so proud of you, Luba, and you deserve that. You are the main our hope, if we want to grow up as a movement.
I wish you and your family to be strong, and we will support you. Great success to the Memorial.

О моем дорогом друге!
Наша дружба с Колманом началась в студенческие года в г. Куйбышеве в 1957 году. Я был свидетелем становления его как шашиста, ставшего известным всей стране. Меня восхищала в нем целеустремленность, фанатическая любовь к шашкам, желание поддержать начинающих игроков . В любой обстановке он выкраивал время для составления этюдов. И он добился больших спортивных успехов.Хочется отметить его как хорошего семьянина . С какой любовью он относился к жене, дочери, внучке, родственникам . Эмиграция разлучила нас на целых 10 лет. Но потом наша дружба возобновилась с новой силой . У Колмана всегда была масса идей куда поехать, чтобы провести время вместе, и мы много путешествовали. Oн подарил мне свою книгу " Путь к этюду". Я храню эту книгу как память о моем дорогом друге.
Желаю всем участникам Мемориала памяти Колмана Турия—больших творческих и спортивных успехов .

Mr. Kolman was committed to the beautiful game of draughts and a great composer, any player who knew him would tell you how fantastic he was with his compositions. I knew him to be very energetic and put all his efforts when you talk about draughts. He told me when he wanted to play tournaments whatever it takes he's going to play...thats how much he loved our game. Personally, i know It would be difficult to replace his hard work with the organization as vice president. I wish his family strength.

Thank you for your kind invitation to Kolman Turiy Memorial. He was a real friend who visited us in Prague, Czech Republic, and we visited him later in 2003 in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, I cannot come this time but I wish you have an excellent tournament to commemorate this great pal and draughts master.

От своего имени поздравляю иницияторов и организаторов меморияла , друзьей и почитателей господина Колмана Турия. Желаю им от сердца успехов и прекрасного соревнования. У меня , к сожалении , нет технических условии участвовать.

Через официальный сайт буду с интересом следить за собитиям на мемориале и вокруг его. Господина К.Турия знаю лишь заочно , по его этюдам и его книге. В чемпионате мира по этюдам в моей подборке находится и один этюд в категории D посвящён великом этюдисте мира , господину Колману Турию. Второй посвящённый ему этюд опубликовал в книге "1000 mini".
